The plug-in has some decent presets for a good variety of synthesizer sounds / styles (as well as some step sounds) < just pick what you like from the presets tab and start tweaking. I'm using Cakewalk 10 and the folder (zip file) breaks down nicely (left to right) into: About, Presets, Presets-Actions, Presets-sample, Presets-loops, Presets-keys, Examples, Merge, Parameters, Sample-layers, Sample-macro, Sample-sample, Synthesis, and VST4Download.pdf. There's also a new version 6.0 which I did not test.
I was just browsing around looking for VSTs and since this one wasn't on the DXP site I decided to download it. I'm pretty happy with it. I did have one problem that with BandLab I have had for a while now. It seems like the presets all the FX are lower keys were they were all higher keys and I hate that. I wish they would make a universal preset key for all FX.
I think this is an excellent instrument. I don't use software synth for vlute sounds like this, but instead simply catch audio on a mixer and pan and pan to control sound. Through an Audacity mixdown process, I'm able to record a load of individual snare hits to get a variety of different trigger sound textures I can slap over an existing pad sound. Also, a combination of effects on this one, particularly were a long way out, really bring to life the final sound. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to extract a lot of flavour from a simple sound. Cheers. d2c66b5586
