Piracy is a major problem throughout the world. The biggest recorded example of piracy is from the music industry and how they can sue people for downloading songs illegally. It is estimated that 99% of the population illegally downloads music and other media products. This is a major concern in the music industry where money is lost due to it. Here are some examples:
A musician named Jenny Mcleod is indicted for downloading music illegally. She was later convicted and fined $1,000. The music industry charges $3,500 to $30,000 for a song download and a CD sale .
The music industry is in need of new ways to raise money. Through contracts, they have to pay artists a certain amount for the products they sell. The artists do not receive the money directly from the companies because of the illegal song downloads. As a result, the companies lose out on having a new audience.
Let’s analyze another example:
Textbook companies charge more for books.
At the price of $30, textbooks usually cost less than $5. However, with piracy, the price of textbooks increases to $50 or more. Students are unable to afford the textbooks and are forced to borrow money.
A company builds and sells their first computer program at a price of around $100. The owners ship the software to a local store. The owners of the store then sell the software for $20 to their customers, while at the same time sharing the original software with other users on a peer to peer network. In this example, people have illegally downloaded the software since it is not being sold at the same price it was sold.

The stamp is a fancy word for a marking, and it's commonly found on silver jewelry. The stamp in the picture is stamped on the inside of a ring, where the marking specifies the quality of silver used to make the ring. Most jewelry is stamped with a number, letter, or both. Here are the most common markings. 827ec27edc
